Every year, the European Union funds thousands of projects through programmes like Horizon Europe, the European Innovation Council, COSME, and Digital Europe. In 2025, €7.3 billion was committed through Horizon Europe alone. For 2026 and 2027, another €14 billion is planned. A significant share is earmarked for small and medium-sized enterprises.
